Watch our Magical Float in Action at the Festival of Lights Parade!

Join us to watch our magical float in action — A Water Protection Extravaganza! Saturday Night, Nov. 27 beginning at 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in Downtown Rapid City.

We’re excited to announce that the Rapid City Festival of Lights Parade is a GO this year (finally) and we’ll be there with Mni, the white buffalo, and Tallulah, the white horse, and now a new partner will be introduced. Our beautiful float is bringing the message of unity for all to take action to protect water, wildlife, and our communities from mining.

The creator and builders have been very busy these past few years in anticipation of showcasing this float during the Festival of Lights Parade. Each year it has grown and becomes more beautiful with more lights added. It has become truly magical – A Water Protection Extravaganza for sure!

Last year, since the parade was cancelled, we staged our float in a parking-lot by Storybook Island and it was a huge success (view our short video below). But this year, our float will flow slowly through downtown Rapid City showing all its glory and beauty. It’s truly jaw-dropping to see in-person! Come check it out next Saturday night, Nov. 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Mountain! It’s a must see!

Come and support these efforts, let’s make some noise, take photos and videos and share on your social media, and with us, too. Let’s get the word out that mining should not allowed in the Black Hills anymore. Water Is Life! Enough is Enough.

Our beautiful float is sponsored by Black Hills Clean Water AllianceRapid Creek Watershed Action , Black Hills Chapter – Dakota Rural Actionand FACT Contractors

Just a little information for y’all. Hiking above spearfish canyon Lodge to the South west. Brand new mining claim stakes within 50 yards of the edge of the canyon..
