INDONESIAN VISITORS MET WITH BHCWA ON THE TOPIC OF MINING.

We recently had the opportunity to meet with a group of Indonesian visitors on the topic of mining. People on the tour are dealing with tin, nickel, and uranium mining. It was clear from our conversations that the impacts of mining are felt around the world, with issues ranging from pollution to health risks for both humans and wildlife. Uranium mining, in particular, was identified as a major concern. Modern mining is a dirty industry, and the world needs stronger regulation and reform of corruption. Real solutions and alternatives need to be developed to reduce the negative impacts of mining on communities worldwide.
