Celebrate World Water Day – Saturday, March 25th
Accelerate Change – Protect Black Hills Water

Our World Water Day Celebration this year is “Accelerate Change – Protect Black Hills Water” and brings awareness that together we must move swiftly to protect Black Hills Water from radioactive and destructive mining. Mining companies are coming into the Black Hills like wildfire, moving swiftly to overtake the land and water. Join us to learn what you can do now to Protect the Black Hills.
To begin this year’s celebration we are holding a Call to Action for Prayer and Banner/Sign Waving from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the corner of 5th and Omaha. This will be followed by social time and refreshments at Aby’s, 406 5th St beginning at 1:30 PM. The main program will include music, speakers, a silent auction, door prizes, and a short video.
The event is free, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Free eats, too. Wateca Challenge encouraged.
Join us for this Day of Celebrating our most precious relative and natural resource, WATER!
Speakers include: Terrell Iron Shell, NDN Collective Organizer, Cheryl Angel, International Water Activism, Laura Armstrong, Rapid City Council Member, and others. Music by Alexander Massa and Maverick Grey Horse
And don’t miss out on some great items from 1:30 – 3:45 PM during our Silent Auction that includes over 30 unique, one-of-a-kind, items ranging from homemade quilts, artwork, jewelry, photography, author sign books, and more.
This fundraiser will help us to continue our work to protect Black Hills water, land, wildlife, and cultural resources, along with the economics of outdoor sports, recreation, and agriculture from exploration and future mining. We greatly appreciate your participation in helping us achieve our fundraising goal for 2023.
Some of the Silent Auction items shown below are listed with their retail prices. We will update as we gather more photos. The bidding will start at half the retail price. Proceeds will go to the Sponsors. We can not do this work with out you, our supporters. Thank You for Bidding.
Watch the video below the photos for directions on how to view the item’s retail price, description, and donor.
